We started our research expecting to find many consumer facing food and beverage brand licenses. We were not disappointed. This is an active area of brand licensing. We also discovered brand owners are taking advantage of different ways increase brand value. These included core brand, co-brand and brand extension marketing arrangements. In addition, we uncovered copyright and right of publicity licensing. Co-branding with character copyrights is active in both food and beverages. Endorsement by celebrities concentrated in beverages.
