License Grant
The Licensor hereby grants and will grant to the Licensee a worldwide, nontransferable, exclusive license to the Licensed IP, during the Term, and solely within the Field of Use to (a) make, have made, use, import, sell and offer for sale products and services; (b) make Improvements; and (c) grant sublicenses of any and all of the foregoing rights (including the right to grant further sublicenses).
License Property
The Licensor develops new applications of the the Licensee's ChromaIDâ„¢ development kits,

ChromaIDâ„¢ technology is a way to shine light at a material (solid surface, liquid, or gas) and measure the amount of light that is reflected back. The pattern, or spectral signature, of this reflected light is compared to other patterns we have captured and this allows us to identify, detect, or diagnose materials that cannot be identified by the human eye.

Field of Use
'Field of Use' means identification, authentication and diagnostics using a plurality of bands of electromagnetic energy (e.g., Light Emitting Diode (LED), laser) and at least one sensor (e.g., Photodiode, charge coupled device (CCD), complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) device, charge plate).

We design ChromaID Scanner devices made with electronic, optical, and software parts to produce and capture the light.

IPSCIO Record ID: 27464

License Grant
The Licensee shall obtain a non-exclusive license to all related IPs of the Spectral Pattern Matching  technology from Japanese Licensor. If the Licensor sells the technology in the Licensee's territory, the Licensor will have a royalty obligation.
License Property
The Licensor has developed the ChromaID Technology, which Spectral Pattern Matching™ technology directs structured light onto a substance, through a liquid/gas, or off a surface, to capture a unique ChromaID™. When matched against existing databases, a ChromaID can be used to identify, detect, or diagnosis markers invisible to the human eye. ChromaID scanner modules can be integrated into a variety of mobile or fixed-mount form factors. The patented technology is disruptive, making it possible to effectively conduct analyses in the field that could only previously be performed by large and expensive lab–based tests.
Field of Use
The Agreement sets the terms and conditions for the collaboration for extending the development of the Licensor ChromaID technology and the movement of that technology into the global marketplace.

License Grant
Licensor grants to Licensee and its Subsidiaries a nonexclusive license under the Licensed Patents to make, use, import, offer to sell, sell and otherwise transfer Products.  Additionally, Licensor grants to Licensee and its Subsidiaries a nonexclusive license under the Licensed Patents the right to have Licensees Products made by another manufacturer for the use and/or lease, sale or other transfer only by Licensee and its Subsidiaries.  Such license shall further include the right to incorporate Products as components, subassemblies or subsystems in other products manufactured and/or sold by Licensee and its Subsidiaries.
License Property
The patents relate to coherent semiconductor injection laser array.  The invention relates to optical devices and more particularly relates to solid state lasers.

'Full Wafer Technology' shall mean a batch processing chlorine- assisted ion beam etching technique capable of producing more than one edge emitting semiconductor ridge waveguide laser having a gallium arsenide quantum well active region.

Field of Use
Licensee is in the semiconductor industry.
