License Grant
A licensing agreement was made for the technology which precisely controls the movement of fluids on a micro scale.
License Property
This technology relates to a field commonly known as microfluidics, which is the movement of minute amounts of fluid through a variety of channels, nozzles, pumps, valves and needles.
Field of Use
The use of these microfluidic devices has a wide variety of applications in the pharmaceutical, medical and manufacturing industries.

IPSCIO Record ID: 27860

License Grant
The Licensee converted its exclusive license to our microfluidic technology to a non-exclusive license agreement.

In the first three years of business, we were primarily focused on developing our microfluidics technology for applications related to the screening of molecules for drug discovery under collaborative research programs with SmithKline Beecham now known as GlaxoSmithKline and Sarnoff Corporation.

License Property
Microfluidics is a term that describes the movement and pumping of very minute fluids, which is essential to the mechanization of laboratory research.
Field of Use
In 1998, we made a fundamental shift in our business focus to apply our technology to the development of products and services that assess genetic variability and differences, specifically by analyzing SNPs and their relevance in both human health and agricultural applications.

IPSCIO Record ID: 385633

License Grant
The amended and restated agreement is for microfluidic devices, small scale particles, and display devices.
This amendment modifies the sublicense royalty rates.
