License Grant
We acquired the exclusive worldwide rights to the cryptosporidium detection system from the University.
License Property
A method and apparatus for the detection and classification of microorganisms in water as set forth in US Patent No. 5,616,457.
Cryptosporidium is an intestinal parasite that can live in the digestive tracts of humans and livestock. It has been found in over 95% of all surface waters that have been tested worldwide. These organisms are transmitted by drinking infected water and can cause gastrointestinal illnesses of varying severity.
Field of Use
The rights granted apply to water.
IPSCIO Record ID: 27400
License Grant
The Company has an exclusive license from the University to commercialize its iodinated resin processes, Pentapure(R) and other technologies, when applied in the Company's purification products, devitalize bacteria and viruses, remove protozoa and reduce other.
License Property
Pentapure® is a patented a unique iodine-based technology for the purification of drinking water. Iodine, in its natural state, exists as an I(2) molecule. Such I(2) iodine would be consistent with that found in an iodine tablet commonly used by campers, travelers and the military. The original technology was based on the process of creating an I(3) (tri-iodide) molecule and then bonding it to an anion exchange resin bead. When tested by running bacteria contaminated water through a bed of this resin, it was shown to be approximately 1,000 times more effective at killing water-borne bacteria instantly than iodine found in an iodine tablet. This tri-iodide resin was not particularly effective, however, at killing viruses and parasites found in certain water targeted contaminants in drinking water. Such systems are capable of making virtually any source water microbiologically fit to drink and better tasting.

License Grant
JHU hereby grants and Company hereby accepts, an Exclusive License, with the right to sublicense others to make, have made, use, sell, and import the Licensed Products in the United States and worldwide under the Patent Rights. Current licensee (U.S.) acquired this exclusive worldwide license to manufacture and market a proprietary process technology that improves the extraction of cryptosporidium and giardia from drinking water after a merger with the original licensee.
License Property
Any one of a family of hydrous aluminum silicate minerals, whose molecules enclose cations of sodium, potassium, calcium, strontium, or barium, or a corresponding synthetic compound, used chiefly as molecular filters and ion-exchange agents. U.S. Patent Application Serial No. 09/006,999, entitled Apparatus for the Separation of Cystic Parasite Forms From Water.
Field of Use
Company desires a license under said Technology, Invention(s) and Licensed Patent(s) to develop, manufacture, use and distribute such products and processes throughout the world in all fields of use.
IPSCIO Record ID: 6244
License Grant
The Licensor granted the Argentinian Licensee. an exclusive license for Mexico and all the countries of Central America and South America, with the exception of Brazil, for the products. Products mean finished pharmaceutical products for the indications of Cryptosporidium parvum and Clostridium difficile infections using the BAI as active substance.
Licensor wishes to provide Licensee, with the technology and all other information and know how related to the treatment of Cryptosporidium parvum and Clostridium difficile infections in order to enable Licensee to manufacture finished pharmaceutical products with said indications.
License Property
The License also includes a Patent related to the Treatment of Intestinal Parasitosis by Enteral Administration of Hen Egg Yolk Antibodies, namely US Patent 5,753,228, covering a method for treating Cryptosporidium parvum.
Field of Use
Cryptosporidium parvum is one of several species that cause cryptosporidiosis, a parasitic disease of the mammalian intestinal tract.
IPSCIO Record ID: 5792
License Grant
The Licensor, an United Kingdom company, hereby grants a non-exclusive license to the Licensee to manufacture and sell the product for a period of five years from the date hereof. Random Metering System. Traditional ionization equipment produces the same output rate of ions, regardless of the demands placed on the water system.
License Property
The Random Metering System expands the application of ionization disinfection systems by creating a separate water source to create ions outside of the treated water stream. RMS is the only known ionization water disinfection system which can treat large volumes of drinking water. By controlling the off-line water flow, ions can be concentrated and injected into the treated water based on actual demand and flow rates. Ions produced by the RMS product do not dissipate in high temperatures. This characteristic enables RMS products to be used specifically to prevent and control Legionella. The Legionella organism thrives within colonies of microorganisms, which adhere to the inside of piping distribution networks that transport water for domestic and drinking water use. Because RMS can treat even large volumes of water effectively, it can be used in health care and hospital.
Field of Use
Territory global markets vie the Licensee's existing direct sales force and authorised agents and affiliates in the following areas Hot and Cold water systems, cooling towers, drinking water, w4mminp pools, sees, ho; baths, ornamental water, golf courses, horticulture, animal husbandry, irrigation water, hydroponics. NFT effluent treatment, processing plant disinfection, saline water and sea water.
