License Grant
Licensor appoints each Licensee of Japan as Licensors sales representative to the extent of the following grant:
Licensor grants to each Licensee
—  the exclusive right to market the use of the Licensor Technology in connection with the construction and operation of Ethanol Projects;
—  the exclusive right to market use of the Licensor Technology in connection with the construction and operation of Sugar Projects;
—  the exclusive right to market Selected Non-Ethanol Technology to Qualified Companies (excepting the Excluded within the Territory; and
—  the non-exclusive right to market the Licensor Technology within the Licensee Sales Market.
License Property
Licensor has technology for developing biomass to ethanol production facilities.

The patents include: Ethanol production by recombinant hosts, and, Recombinant organisms capable of fermenting cellobiose, and, Ethanol production by Escherichia coli strains co-expressing Zymomonas PDC and ADH genes, and,  Recombinant glucose uptake system.

Celunol’s patented and proprietary technology and process know-how enable the production of fuel-grade ethanol from low-cost, abundant cellulosic biomass materials, such as agricultural and forestry wastes, dedicated energy crops, and wood.

Field of Use
Licensees will utilize such technology to build ethanol production facilities in certain Asian markets.

License Grant
Licensor hereby Grants to Licensee from and after the Effective Date, and Licensee hereby accepts from and after the Effective Date, an Exclusive, non-transferable, North American License (the 'License') during the Term to use and sublicense the Technology for any purpose pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth herein.
License Property
The Process relates to a method of producing sugars and other end products using strong acid hydrolysis of cellulosic and hemicellulosic materials, as described in U.S. Patents Nos. 5,562,777 and 5,580,389.

The Technology, converts cellulose and waste materials into Ethanol and other high value chemicals.

Field of Use
The Company’s goal is to develop and operate high-value carbohydrate-based transportation fuel plants to provide a viable alternative to fossil fuels. These 'biorefineries' will convert widely available, inexpensive, organic materials such as agricultural residues, high-content biomass crops, wood residues, and cellulose in municipal solid wastes into ethanol. This versatility enables the Company to consider a wide variety of feedstocks and locations in which to develop facilities to become a low cost producer of ethanol.  The Arkenol Technology, converts cellulose and waste materials into ethanol and other high value chemicals.

License Grant
The Licensee has a non-exclusive global License for a patented one-step enzyme technology.
License Property
The one-step enzyme technology converts wastes from poultry, hogs, humans and sugar to products such as fertilizer, cellulosic ethanol and other products.
Field of Use
The Licensee will grow biomass crops coupled with processing and/or conversion facilities to produce oils, biofuels, electricity and other biomass products.
